For my Typographic+ Information Design class with Eunsun Lee, I had to design a self promotion mailer/ poster that would fold out and tell a story while doing the same. We had creative freedom when it came to the fold and the content. I decided to start with the concept of "Jack of all trades" and soon found that the quote originally was a couplet that had an altogether different connotation as just the one line does. It was "Jack of all trades, master of none; though oftentimes better than master of one" This described my background and my interests well and I wanted to employ a folding system that would reveal the quote to the user part by part as they kept unfolding, and the rest of the content included my journey here, my interests, my background, and my design philosophy. I decided to hand letter the quote and eventually did that with the entire poster.
